Ayumi is sweet and kawaii. I love how she wears her beret. She tries to keep a clear mind and plan ahead. It's kind of cute how she has a slight egostical tone when talking about her plans. She's cute girl with a great voice, who plans things, yet has a bit of an ego.

Xel's just so genki, yet so evil. He's so darn smug, perpetually amused, and such a brat that you have to love him. Plus his character design rules, as do his Mazoku abilites, and that cute "Iiiiyaa..." thing he does when trying to get out of explaining something. Xel's just too cool.

Choosing a favorite anime character is tough, but I have to go with Nanami. Her brand of mischief is unlike any other in anime. She's not really a bad girl, she just has a different outlook on life than those around her. There's a little bit of Nanami in everyone if they like to admit it or not. Ok, there's more in some of us than in others.

Amiboshi is one of the sexiest, sweetest, and most lovable characters in anime history.  I love how he is willing to die for Miaka (despite my hatred for her), even though she is his enemy.  His complex character, seemingly innocent but so mature for his dark background is absolutely charming.  He is only truly happy when he plays his flute, and hates using his powers for evil.  His devotion and love for his brother Suboshi is one of the only things that keeps him from leaving his life completely.  That kind of loyalty and love is wonderful, and I love him for it.

I know a lot of people tend to dislike Relena, but I really don't see why. Sure, she's not all there up top, and she's obsessed with a guy that's tried to kill her, but haven't we all? I also love the whole sad childhood thing, it's like a Dickens novel.

Ryuichi is cute, sings well, and is the driving comedy/cuteness force in the Gravitation TV series.  His songs are very pretty, and his personality disorder is rather endearing.  Uhmm, wellm Kumagoro can be a reason too right?  I mean, how many 30 year old people carry around stuffed bunnies and always seem to be able to cheer anyone up?

Escaflowne's sympathetic villian turned tragic hero is one of this very beautiful series' most striking characters.  Always committed to sacrificing everything to his ideal, Folken eventually leaves his tormented loneliness and misguided attempts to "alter fate", and turns to welcome destiny with arms - mechanical and flesh - and raven wings open.

FROM SERIES: Tenchi Muyo!

Kagato from the Tenchi Muyo OAV is by far my most favorite anime character.   He is intelligent, cunning, and perhaps the most stylish villain of all time.  I am most fond of his English voice actor, though the Japanese one has his moments.

Afura has shown her considerable spirit, inner strength and heroism simply being assigned her position as Priestess of Air. She is the moderating force between Shayla and Miz and keeps a cool head during battle. Afura can battle with the best of them and prefers to think before she attacks. We need more characters like Afura!
